NWS Weather Briefing

This is a message from ReadyChesco. Attached is the latest weather briefing from the US National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ regarding two weather events impacting the region. The first rain event for today will not significantly impact Chester County. The second event will bring winter weather to Chester County. Event #2: Rain will start Wednesday evening and then changeover to snow late Wednesday night into Thursday from northwest to southeast. A period of accumulating snow is forecast to occur after the changeover to snow. The National Weather Service is currently forecasting 4 inches of snow for all of Chester County. Confidence in the snow totals is 'moderate' at this point, and we expect the forecasted snow totals to be further refined in the next briefing package Key Updates: The forecasted amount of snow has increased to 4 inches for the whole County. Chester County Forecasted Conditions Second Event: • Anticipated Timing: Wednesday night into Thursday morning • Temperatures: Wednesday high of 61 and low of 32 Wednesday night Thursday high of 35 and low of 18 • Precipitation: Rain is expected Wednesday evening with precipitation turning to snow overnight.
