Upper Darby Twp - Routine Notification

This is a message from Delco Alert

Good evening this is Tom Micozzie Mayor Upper Darby Township with a weather related update. The current forecast is for our general area to receive between 6 and 8 inches of heavy wet snow. At the current amounts I do not see a snow emergency deceleration. The forecast also calls for high winds secure your outdoor items. The Weather is forecasted to start as rain and turn to snow early in the morning. The Township Staff is scheduled to report to work and start salting and plowing in the early morning. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and adjust to snow plowing and salting efforts as necessary. Please note the forecast of rain prior to the snow fall makes the application of brine not effective on the roadway. As of now the Township plans on collecting trash and recycling on the normal Thursday routes

Thank you
Mayor Thomas Micozzie.
