Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Bridge Inspections in Montgomery and Bucks
Counties

Lane restrictions are scheduled next week on several highways in Montgomery
and
Bucks counties, for bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Weather permitting, the schedule is:

• Monday, March 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to

close on eastbound I-76 between the Gulph Mills and I-476 interchanges in
Upper
Merion Township, Montgomery County;
• Tuesday, March 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 between the Gulph Mills and U.S. 202 interchanges
in
Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County;
• Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on eastbound I-76 between the I-476 and Belmont Avenue interchanges
in
Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County;
• Thursday, March 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on westbound I-76 between the Gladwyne and I-476 interchanges in
Lower
Merion and Upper Merion townships, Montgomery County;
• Friday, March 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on northbound Route 611 (Easton Road) between Almshouse Road and
Edison
Furlong Road in Doylestown Township, Bucks County; and
• Friday, March 17, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled
to
close on southbound Route 611 (Easton Road) between Edison Furlong Road and

Almshouse Road in Doylestown Township, Bucks County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.


The bridge inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect state
bridges
at least once every two years. The inspection ensures the safety and
overall
condition of the structure.
