Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highway for Sign
Installations in Philadelphia Region

Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in the
Philadelphia region for installation of new electronic message signs and
structures, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one

lane will be closed on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between
Woodhaven Road (Route 63) and Route 132 (Street Road) in Philadelphia and
Bucks
County, for installation of an electrical duct bank;

• Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on eastbound and westbound
Woodhaven Road (Route 63) between Bristol Pike (U.S. 13) and Knights Road
in
Bucks County and Philadelphia, for replacement of an electronic message
sign;

• Monday, June 12, through Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one

lane will be closed on northbound U.S.1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between
Southampton Road and Street Road (Route 132) in Bucks County, for
installation
of an electrical duct bank;

• Monday, June 12, through Thursday, June 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound I-95 between the
Street Road (Route 132) and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) interchanges in Bucks

County and Philadelphia, for replacement of an electronic message sign;

• Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, one lane will be closed on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt
Boulevard) between Comly Street and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) in
Philadelphia
and Bucks County, for replacement of an electronic message sign;

• Tuesday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 14, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on westbound Woodhaven Road
(Route
63) between Academy Road and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Philadelphia
and
Bucks County, for installation of a sign structure;

• Wednesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound I-95 between the
Street Road (Route 132) and Woodhaven Road (Route 63) interchanges in
Philadelphia and Bucks County, for replacement of an electronic message
sign;

• Wednesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on southbound I-476 between the

Ridge Pike and I-76 interchanges in Montgomery County, for replacement of a

sign structure; and

• Wednesday, June 14, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, two lanes will be closed on northbound I-476 between the

Lancaster Avenue (U.S. 30) and Interstate 76 interchanges in Delaware and
Montgomery counties, for replacement of a sign structure.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of PennDOT's initiative to update Intelligent
Transportation
Systems' (ITS) equipment regional highways.
