Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Several State Highways for High-Friction
Resurfacing in Montgomery and Bucks Counties

Motorists will encounter travel restrictions on several state highways in
Montgomery and Bucks counties for high friction resurfacing operations, the

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Thursday, June 9, Friday, June 10, and Monday, June 12, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, and Saturday, June 11, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are
scheduled on Whitehall Road between Bean Road and Route 73 (Skippack Pike)
in
Worcester Township, Montgomery County;
• Thursday, June 9, Friday, June 10, and Monday, June 12, through Friday,
June
16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Saturday, June 11, from 7:00 AM to 5:00
PM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on School House Road between Skippack Creek

Road and Kulp Road in Franconia Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Park Hill Road between Green Lane and Lumber
Street in Marlborough Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Worthington Mill Road between Twining Road
and
Swamp Road in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County; and
• Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and
Saturday, June 17, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled
on
Terwood Road between Greyhorse Road and Greenwood Drive in Upper Moreland
Township, Montgomery County.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $4.8 million resurfacing project to improve travel
and
safety on 25 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and
Philadelphia counties, by installing a high-friction surface treatment to
provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.

J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on
the
project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state
funds.
