I-95 (Girard Point Bridge) Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Bridge
Inspection in Philadelphia

A right lane closure is scheduled on northbound Interstate 95 (Girard Point

Bridge) between the Enterprise Avenue/Island Avenue and Broad Street (Route

611) interchanges on Wednesday, August 2, through Friday, August 4, from
9:00
AM to 3:00 PM, and Saturday, August 5, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for a
bridge
inspection in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area
because slowdowns will occur. The schedules are dependent on the weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
