I-95 South Lane Closures Next Week at Girard Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge
Interchanges for Ramp Work in Philadelphia

7/27/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Lane closures are scheduled next week on southbound Interstate 95 at the
Girard
Avenue and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges in Philadelphia, for concrete
construction barrier placement and adjustments, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, July 31, and Tuesday, August 1, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning, a single lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Betsy

Ross Bridge Interchange for barrier adjustments; and

• Wednesday, August 2, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a single lane closure is
scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Girard Avenue Interchange for placement
of
concrete barrier.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of the $211 million project to replace the northbound
viaduct
at the Girard Avenue Interchange, and the $160.2 million project to rebuild

ramps and improve connections to and from I-95, Aramingo Avenue and the
Betsy
Ross Bridge.
