Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Route 563 (Ridge Road) for
Resurfacing Operations in Bucks County

7/14/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 563 (Ridge
Road)
between County Line Road and Park Avenue in West Rockhill Township and
Perkasie
Borough, on Monday, July 17, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for milling and
paving
operations as part of a project to repair and resurface 15 miles of state
highway in Bucks County. The weekday restriction is scheduled to be in
effect
through mid-August.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

Route 563 (Ridge Road) is one of three state roads to be resurfaced under
this
project. PennDOT's contractor completed resurfacing operations on Route 412

(Durham Road) between Route 611 (Easton Road) and Route 212 in Nockamixon
and
Springfield townships.

Kumry Road between Sleepy Hollow Road and Creamery Road in Milford Township
and
Trumbauersville Borough is scheduled to be resurfaced later this year.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Hilltown Township, Bucks County, is the

general contractor on the $3,732,792 project, which is financed with 100
percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
