This is Lower Providence Township with an update on power and roads. There are numerous trees and wires down so please use caution in your travels.

PECO is reporting approximately 3,038 customers without power in the Township and over 33% of customers are without power in Montgomery County. If you did not already do so, please report your power outage to PECO. Please do not call 911.

Road closures are:

South Park Avenue between Oakdale Avenue and Ashwood Lane

Miami Avenue between Park Avenue and Ashwood Lane

River Road at Township Line Road

Collegeville Road in the 200 block

E. Mount Kirk Avenue between Ridge Pike and Walker Lane

Jode Road at Lawrence Road

Lower Providence Township Building is open as a warming station.

The American Red Cross opened a shelter at Keith Valley Middle School located at 227 Meetinghouse Road in Horsham.
