Dear Ursinus Campus Community:

We are experiencing a borough wide power outage that is impacting all campus buildings. At this time the power company predicts that this outage will last for an extended period of time, although they have no firm estimates.

Due to power outage's impact on life safety equipment in Main Street Houses, all buildings on Main Street will need to be evacuated by 6 p.m. this evening. The Lower Level of Wismer, the common areas of the central campus residence halls, and The Floy Lewis Bakes Field House are all equipped with emergency lighting and heat. Please take what you need from your Main Street residence and report to one of these areas if you intend to remain on campus.

There will be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and beverages being distributed in Upper Wismer until 7 p.m.

Campus Safety will be going through all Main Street houses to ensure that they have been cleared beginning at 6:15 p.m. We will send another message when the power has been restored. For non-emergency life safety concerns please contact Campus Safety at 610-409-3719.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter,

Dean Williams on behalf of the Ursinus Student Life Team
