Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in
Montgomery, Chester and Delaware Counties

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways for
tree
removal operations in Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, March 5, through Friday, March 9, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Stump Hall Road between Route
363
(Valley Forge Road) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Worcester and Skippack
townships, Montgomery County;
• Monday, March 5, through Friday, March 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road)
from
just west of Scholl Road to Sheep Hill Road in North Coventry Township,
Chester
County;
• Tuesday, March 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Valley Road is scheduled to
close
between Central Avenue and Hawthorne Place in Tredyffrin Township, Chester
County. During the closure, Valley Road motorists will be detoured over
Swedesford Road, Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue).
• Tuesday, March 6, through Friday, March 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a
right
lane closure is scheduled on southbound Interstate 476 between the U.S. 1
and
Sawrthmore/Media interchanges in Nether Providence and Springfield
townships,
Delaware County.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are
advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because
slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities are
weather
dependent.
