Blue School Road Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing Operations in Bucks County
King of Prussia, PA – Weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on Blue School Road between Blooming Glen Road and Elephant Road in Bedminster and Hilltown townships, Bucks County, on Monday, September 17, through Friday, September 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for milling and paving, as a part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:
- Old Bethlehem Pike between Route 563 (Mountain View Drive) and Route 212 (Quakertown Road) in Haycock and Springfield townships; and
- State Road between Tumblebrook Road and Route 212 (Quakertown Road) in Springfield Township.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway surface and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Perkasie, Bucks County, is the general contractor on the $2,746,192 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
Work on the project is expected to be completed in December 2018.

Allan Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the $13,260,444 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
Work on the project is expected to be completed in late 2018.
