Several State Highways to Be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in the Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on several state highways next week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations in Delaware, Bucks and Chester counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, September 17, on Bullens Lane between Providence Road and Glen Road in Nether Providence Township, Delaware County;
- Monday, September 17, on Dark Hollow Road at Route 32 (River Road) in Tinicum Township, Bucks County;
Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18, on Route 23 (Ridge Road) at Bethel Road in East Vincent Township, Chester County; - Monday, September 17, through Friday, September 21, on Fallsington Tullytown Road between Penn Valley Road and Low Lane in Falls Township, Bucks County;
- Tuesday, September 18, through Friday, September 21, on Chestnut Ridge Road/Upper Tinicum Church Road between Leddy's Lane and Lodi Hill Road in Bridgeton and Tinicum townships, Bucks County;
- Wednesday, September 19, on Charlestown Road between Cold Stream Road and Hilltop Road in Charlestown Township, Chester County; and
- Thursday, September 20, on High Street between Virginia Avenue and Ashbridge Street in West Chester Borough, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
