U.S. 202, U.S. 30 Nighttime Lane Restrictions Next Week for Sign Replacement in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA –  Motorists using U.S. 202 and the U.S. 30/Exton Bypass in Chester County will encounter lane restrictions at night next for replacement of electronic message signs in East Whiteland, West Whiteland and Tredyffrin townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

The work schedule is:

• From 8:00 PM Monday, November 5, to 5:00 AM Tuesday, November 6, eastbound U.S. 30/Exton Bypass will be reduced from two lanes-to-one between the Business 30 and Route 100 interchanges in West Whiteland Township;
  
• From 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 6, to 5:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from three lanes-to-two between the Route 401 and Route 29 interchanges in East Whiteland Township; and 
  
• From 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, to 5:00 AM Thursday, November 8, northbound U.S. 202 will be reduced from three lanes-to-two between the Chesterbrook Boulevard and Route 252 interchanges in Tredyffrin Township.
  

All scheduled activities are weather dependent. If rain causes cancellation of any operation, the scheduled activities will be completed the following night and subsequent scheduled activities will be push back one night.

The sign replacements are part of PennDOT's $26.4 million project to rehabilitate and redeck the northbound and southbound U.S. 202 bridges over Amtrak at the U.S. 30 Interchange and repave the ramps to and from U.S. 30/Exton Bypass and U.S. 202.

Allan A Myers, Inc. of Worcester, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
