Weeknight Lane Restrictions Scheduled on Route 263 (York Road) for
Resurfacing Operations in Bucks County

Weeknight lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 263 (York
Road) between County Line Road and Tennyson Drive in Warminster Township,
Bucks
County, on Monday, September 18, through Friday, September 29, from 7:00 PM
to
5:00 AM, for milling and paving operations as part of an improvement
project to
repair and resurface 12 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.

Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract
include:

• Route 332 (Jacksonville Road) between County Line Road and Little
Neshaminy
Creek in Ivyland Borough and Warminster and Northampton townships;
• Bristol Road between Route 232 (2nd Street Pike) and Bristol Road in
Upper
Southampton, Northampton and Lower Southampton townships;
• Bristol Road between Route 532 (Buck Road) and Bristol Road in Lower
Southampton Township; and
• Langhorne-Yardley Road between Stony Hill Road and Route 332
(Yardley-Newtown
Road) in Lower Makefield Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will
seal
the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in mid-November.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Blooming Glen, PA, is the general
contractor on the $4,403,892 project, which is financed with 100 percent
state
funds.
