Nighttime Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week on U.S. 1 for Large Sign
Maintenance in Delaware County

Motorists will encounter nighttime lane closures on U.S. 1 between Route
352
(New Middletown Road) and Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Middletown, Upper
Providence and Marple townships, Delaware County, on Monday, October 9,
through
Saturday, October 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for
large
sign maintenance, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area.
The schedule is weather dependent.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is repairing large sign structures
in
Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. Work on the entire project is
expected to be completed in late May 2018.

Carr & Duff Inc., of Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, is the general
contractor on the $2,122,200 project, which is financed with 100 percent
federal funds.
