U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) Nighttime Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for
Resurfacing Operations in Bucks County
10/6/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 13
(Bristol Pike) between Neshaminy Road and Newportville Road in Bristol
Township, Bucks County, on Monday, October 9, through Friday, October 13,
from
7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, for patching, milling and paving as part of a project
to
resurface 6.7 miles of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between the Philadelphia
County
line and Route 413 (Veterans Highway) in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone
because slowdowns will occur during construction. The contractor's schedule
is
dependent on the weather.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway
surface
and repaving the state highway with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadway and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
James D. Morrissey, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is the general contractor on
the
$3,057,798 project which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act
89,
the state's transportation plan.
