PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Close Eagle Road, County Line Road Next Week for Utility Improvements in Delaware and Montgomery Counties

PECO to Close Eagle Road, County Line Road Next Week for Utility Improvements in Delaware and Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning to close Eagle Road and County Line Road in Delaware and Montgomery counties beginning next week for gas main improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
 
The work schedule is:
  • Monday, September 10, through Friday, September 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Eagle Road will be closed between St. Denis Lane and Earlington Road in Haverford township, Delaware County.  During the nighttime closure, motorists will be directed to use Earlington Road, Brookline Boulevard and Darby Road; and
  • Monday, September 10, through Monday, October 1, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, County Line Road will be closed weekdays between Old Lancaster Road and Old Railroad Avenue in Radnor Township, Delaware County and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Bryn Mawr Avenue.
Local access will be maintained up to both construction zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
