Several State Highways to be Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming in Bucks and Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are planned on several state highways next week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Bucks and Chester counties for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, September 10, through Friday, September 14, Tohickon Hill Road between Point Pleasant Pike and State Park Road in Tinicum Township, Bucks County;
  
• Monday, September 10, through Friday, September 14, southbound U.S. 1 between Business U.S. 1 and the Maryland state line in Chester County; 
  
• Wednesday, September 12, Route 472 (West Lancaster Avenue) near the intersection with Jackson School Road in Lower Oxford Township, Chester County;
  
• Thursday, September 13, and Friday, September 14, Route 23 (Ridge Road) near the intersection with Bethel Road in East Vincent Township, Chester County; and
  
• Thursday, September 13, and Friday, September 14, Old Bristol Pike between Tyburn Road and Lewis Avenue in Falls Township, Bucks County.
  

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur during these tree removal operations. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
