Aqua Pennsylvania to Restrict Two State Highways Weekdays in Delaware
County for Water Main Installation

Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday travel restrictions on northbound and

southbound U.S. 1 (City Line Avenue) in Haverford Township, and Springfield

Road in Clifton Heights and Aldan boroughs, Delaware County, beginning next

week for water main installations, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• Monday, March 6, through Friday, April 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
weekday
lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (City
Line
Avenue) between Grove Place and Rolling Road in Haverford Township. Traffic

will be controlled by flagging; and

• Wednesday, March 15, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
Springfield Road is scheduled to close weekdays between Providence Road and
Oak
Avenue in Clifton Heights and Aldan boroughs. During the weekday closure,
motorists will be detoured over Providence Road and Oak Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

areas. Aqua Pennsylvania will complete these improvement projects under a
PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
