Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Four State Highways for High-Friction
Resurfacing in Chester, Delaware and Bucks Counties

Motorists will encounter travel restrictions on four state highways in
Chester,
Delaware and Bucks counties for high friction resurfacing operations, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 352 (Sproul
Road)
between King Road and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in East Whiteland
Township,
Chester County;
• Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on Devon State Road at
the
Narcissa Road/Norristown Road/Stenton Avenue Intersection in Easttown
Township,
Chester County;
• Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, lane restrictions are scheduled on Goshen Road between
Crum
Creek Lane and Echo Valley Lane in Newtown Township, Delaware County; and
• Monday, July 17, through Friday, July 21, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following morning, the ramps from Woodhaven Road (Route 63) to northbound
and
southbound I-95 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, are scheduled to close
to
traffic. During this overnight operation, eastbound Woodhaven (Route 63)
motorists will be directed to travel north on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) to
Route
132 (Street Road) to reach the ramp to northbound I-95. Eastbound Woodhaven

(Route 63) motorists will be detoured over southbound U.S. 13 (Bristol
Pike/Frankford Avenue) to Academy Road to reach the ramp to southbound
I-95.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $4.8 million resurfacing project to improve travel
and
safety on 25 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and
Philadelphia counties, by installing a high-friction surface treatment to
provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.

J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on
the
project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state
funds.
