Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-95 North, Matsonford Road and U.S. 1
Next Week for Bridge Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on the northbound deck of the
Interstate 95 North Girard Point Bridge in Philadelphia, Matsonford Road in

Delaware County, and U.S. 1 in Bucks County, for bridge inspections, the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, lane closures are scheduled on the northbound deck of the Interstate 95

North Girard Point Bridge in Philadelphia;
• Tuesday, September 12, and Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on Matsonford Road, just east of King of
Prussia Road in Radnor Township, Delaware County;
• Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure
is
scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 at the Oxford Valley Road Interchange in
Middletown Township, Bucks County;
• Wednesday, September 13, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure
is
scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 at the Oxford Valley Road Interchange in
Middletown Township, Bucks County;
• Thursday, September 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 at the Oxford Valley Road Interchange in
Middletown Township, Bucks County; and
• Thursday, September 14, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is
scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 at the Oxford Valley Road Interchange in
Bucks
County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspection is part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the
structures.
