Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on U.S. 1 in Philadelphia and
U.S.
422 in Montgomery County for maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Saturday, October 7, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, a ramp closure is scheduled

from southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Extension) to westbound Interstate 76 in
Philadelphia, for bridge deck and joint repair. Motorists wanting to access

westbound I-76 from southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Extension) will be
directed to
follow eastbound I-76 to the Montgomery Drive exit, turn left on Montgomery

Drive and turn left onto the ramp to westbound I-76; and
• Tuesday, October 10, and Wednesday, October 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
lane
closures are scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road and
Armand
Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, for
resurfacing.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas
because slowdowns will occur during construction. All scheduled activities
are
weather dependent.
