Nighttime Lane Closures Scheduled on Three State Highways in Philadelphia
for Bridge Repairs

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
nighttime lane restrictions are scheduled on three state highways in
Philadelphia next week for bridge joint sealing and sidewalk repairs.

The work schedule is:

• On Sunday, October 2, through Wednesday, October 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on Walnut Street between 30th Street and
32nd
Street;
• On Sunday, October 2, through Thursday, October 6, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane restrictions are scheduled on Whitaker Avenue between East Loudon
Street
and East Ruscomb Street; and
• On Sunday, October 2, through Friday, October 7, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM,

lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 532 (Bustleton Avenue) between
Winchester Avenue and Benton Street.

This operation is part of PennDOT's $2.5 million project to repair bridge
decks
and seal joints on bridges in Philadelphia to help preserve and maintain
the
structures.

Neshaminy Constructors, Inc. of Feasterville, Pa., is the general
contractor on
the $2,567,020 project that is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The

project is expected to finish in November.
