The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
lane restrictions are scheduled on six state highways in the Philadelphia
region next week for the milling and resurfacing.

Weather permitting, the resurfacing schedule is:

• On Wednesday, September 7, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane closures are
scheduled on High Street between Grosstown Road and Jay Street in West
Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

This state highway is being resurfaced under a resurfacing contract worth
$6.3
million. The contract are financed with 100 percent state funds.

In addition:

• On Tuesday, September 6, from 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM, lane closures are
scheduled on Route 724 between the Berks County line and Whartnaby Street
in
North Coventry Township, Chester County;
• On Tuesday, September 6, and Wednesday, September 7, from 7:00 PM and
5:00
AM, lane closures are scheduled on Waterloo Road between Newtown Road and
Conestoga Road in Easttown Township, Chester County, for milling;
• On Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
lane closures are scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Upper Darby
Township, Delaware County, for asphalt paving adjustments;
• On Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9, from 8:00 PM to 5:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Baltimore
Pike
and Greenwood Road in Kennett and East Marlborough townships, Chester
County,
for milling; and
• On Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9, from 7:00 PM to 6:00
AM,
lane closures are scheduled on Route 113 between Nutt Road and the
Montgomery
County line in Phoenixville Borough and Schuylkill Township, Chester
County,
for resurfacing and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for inlet repairs

These five state highways are being repaired and resurfaced under four
separate
resurfacing contracts worth $9 million. These contracts are financed with
100
percent state funds through Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan.
