NWS Weather Briefing

Emergency Management Partners and Stakeholders:

Attached is the latest weather briefing from the US National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ regarding winter weather forecasted for Saturday.

Key Updates: The storm has tracked farther north and as a result the snow will last about two hours longer than initially forecasted resulting in accumulations in the 1-3" range with higher amounts to the south and east.

Chester County Forecasted Conditions:
• Anticipated Timing: Snow will taper off around 4:00 – 5:00 pm
• Overnight temperatures into the teens Saturday 1/7/2017
• Precipitation: 1-3", with higher amounts toward the south and east
• Active watches & warnings: Chester County is currently under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6:00 pm

Impacts:
• Untreated roads will be hazardous
• Refreezing overnight could lead to icy conditions

• Follow the NWS and local weather forecasts throughout the weekend for the latest changes, updates, and information.
