Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia and Montgomery County for Bridge
Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia and Montgomery County for

bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)

today announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Tuesday, January 17, and Wednesday, January 18, from 8:00 AM to 12:00
PM,
the left lane will be closed on the Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive ramp to
Interstate
76 in Philadelphia;
• On Tuesday, January 17, and Wednesday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
the left lane will be closed on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard)
between
Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive and I-76 in Philadelphia;
• On Wednesday, January 18, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the right lane will
be
closed on the Matsonford Road ramp to eastbound I-76 in West Conshohocken
Borough, Montgomery County. The left lane will be closed from 1:00 PM to
3:00
PM;
• On Wednesday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, the right lane will
be
closed on the northbound Interstate 476 ramp to Matsonford Road in West
Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County;
• On Thursday, January 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on southbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between the I-76 interchange and
Kelly Drive;
• On Friday, January 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed
on southbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between I-76 and Kelly Drive in
Philadelphia; and
• On Saturday, January 21, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the left lane will be
closed on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Ridge
Avenue/Kelly
Drive and I-76 in Philadelphia.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these
arears.
