Travel Restrictions in Philadelphia and Montgomery County for Bridge
Inspections

Travel restrictions are scheduled in Philadelphia and Montgomery County for

bridge inspections, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)

today announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• On Tuesday, January 24, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the right lane will be
closed on southbound Matsonford Road between Hillside Road and Interstate
476
in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. The northbound right lane will
be
closed from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM;
• On Tuesday, January 24, and Wednesday, January 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
the left lane will be closed on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between the
Ridge
Avenue/Kelly Drive and Interstate 76 interchanges in Philadelphia;
• On Wednesday, January 25, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the left lane will be

closed on the eastbound I-76 ramp to northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in
Lower
Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
• On Wednesday, January 25, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the left lane will be

closed on the westbound I-76 ramp to southbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in
Lower
Merion Township, Montgomery County.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these
arears.
