NWS Weather Briefing

Emergency Management Partners and Stakeholders:

Attached is a map the US National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ provided regarding the freezing rain forecasted for Tuesday night.

Key Updates: The amount of freezing rain and the duration of it being an issue has decreased. Temperatures are now expected to be above freezing for the region by day break.

Chester County Forecasted Conditions:
• Anticipated Timing: Freezing rain Tuesday night 1/10/2017 into Wednesday morning 1/11/2017 , rain until 1pm
• Overnight temperatures are expected to hover just above freezing , but rise above freezing before daybreak
• Precipitation: 0.01" of freezing rain for areas northwest half of the county
• Active watches & warnings: None
Impacts:
• Untreated roads will be hazardous

Recommended Preparedness Actions:
• Follow the NWS and local weather forecasts throughout the weekend for the latest changes, updates, and information.
