Utility Companies to Restrict Several State Highways in Philadelphia Region

Aqua Pennsylvania and PECO Energy will restrict several state highways in
the
Philadelphia region next week for utility work, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

The work schedules are weather dependent.

• On Monday, January 16, through Friday, January 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between
Crosspointe
Drive and Taylors Mill Road in West Goshen Township, Chester County, for
water
main installation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging;
• On Tuesday, January 17, and Wednesday, January 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
PECO Energy will restrict Warminster Road between Corinthian Avenue and
Lycoming Avenue in Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County, for gas main
installation. Traffic will be controlled by flagging;
• On Tuesday, January 17, through Friday, January 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
Aqua Pennsylvania will close and detour Wallingford Avenue between
Manchester
Avenue and Route 52 (Providence Road), for water main installation. Traffic

will be detoured over Manchester Avenue, Baltimore Pike and Route 252
(Providence Road);
• On Wednesday, January 18, through Friday, January 20, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, Aqua Pennsylvania will restrict Barren Road at the intersection of
Devon
Lane in Middletown Township, Delaware County, for water main installation.
Traffic will be controlled by flagging; and
• On Wednesday, January 18, through Wednesday, January 25, from 9:00 AM to
3:00
PM, PECO Energy will restrict West Frist Street weekdays between West
Street
and South Culver Street in Parkesburg Borough, Chester County, for gas main

installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones. All work is weather dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania and PECO Energy will complete the work under PennDOT
Highway
Occupancy Permits.
