Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week in Philadelphia Region for
Maintenance Operations

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
travel restrictions are scheduled in the Philadelphia region for
maintenance
operations.

The work schedule, which is weather dependent, is:

• On Saturday, January 21, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Creek Road will be
closed
and detoured between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Brinton's Bridge Road in
Birmingham Township, Chester County, for drainage pipe replacement. The
posted
detour will be Brinton's Bridge Road, U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) and U.S. 1

(Baltimore Pike);
• On Saturday, January 21, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, intermittent lane
closures
are scheduled on westbound I-76 between Gulph Road and U.S. 202 in Upper
Merion
Township, Montgomery County, for brushing;
• On Monday, January 23, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one lane will be closed
on
State Road between Tennis Avenue and Locust Avenue in Bensalem Township,
Bucks
County, for tree removal;
• On Monday, January 23, through Friday, January, 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
one lane will be closed on Route 452 (Pennell Road) between Glendale
Boulevard
and Concord Road in Aston Township, Delaware County, for tree removal;
• On Monday, January 23, through Friday, January, 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent traffic stoppages are scheduled on northbound and southbound
Baltimore Pike between the U.S. 1 Bypass and Oak Avenue in Swarthmore,
Clifton
Heights, Morton, and Media boroughs, and Nether Providence Township,
Delaware
County;
• On Monday, January 23, through Thursday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route

between Cheltenham Avenue and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Cheltenham,
Springfield,
Upper Dublin and Lower Gwynedd townships, Montgomery County, for debris
removal;
• On Monday, January 23, through Thursday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound
Interstate
76 between the PA Turnpike and U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Upper Merion and
Lower
Merion townships, Montgomery County, for debris removal;
• On Monday, January 23, through Thursday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound U.S.

between the Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Route 363 (Trooper Road)
interchanges in Lower Providence, Upper Providence, Limerick, and Lower
Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County, and North Coventry Township,
Chester
County, for debris removal and patching; and
• On Monday, January 23, through Thursday, January 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound
Interstate 476 in West Conshohocken Borough, and Plymouth and Lower Merion
townships, Montgomery County, for debris removal;

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work

zones.
