I-95 Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week between I-76 and Betsy Ross Bridge

Daytime and nighttime lane closures are scheduled next week on Interstate
95 in
Philadelphia for survey and ramp construction operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, January 30, through Thursday, February 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
intermittent northbound or southbound single lane closures are scheduled on

I-95 at various locations between the Interstate 676 and Interstate 76
interchanges for survey operations. The work also will take place on the
Market
Street on-ramp to I-95 south, the southbound Columbus Boulevard on-ramp to
I-95
north, and the I-95 south off-ramp to Columbus Boulevard. The ramps will
remain
open during the operations; and

• Wednesday, February 1, and Thursday, February 2, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
the
following morning, intermittent double lane closures are planned on
northbound
and southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange
for
overhead ramp construction.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route or allow more time for
travel
on I-95 because backups will occur. All scheduled activities are weather
dependent.

The work at the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange is associated

with a $160.2 million project to improve the ramp system at the
interchange.

The survey operations are part of the preliminary engineering activities
underway for future improvement projects on I-95. For more information on
