I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming, Landscape Operations in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Interstate 95 is among several state highways that will be restricted next week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Philadelphia for tree trimming and landscaping operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:
  • Monday, March 18, through Wednesday, March 20, left lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Bartram Avenue/Essington Avenue and Philadelphia International Airport/Cargo City interchanges for landscaping;
  • Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, left lane closures are scheduled on Henry Avenue between Monastery Avenue and Port Royal Avenue for tree pruning: and
  • Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, left lane closures are scheduled on Spring Garden Street between 22nd Street and Broad Street (Route 611) for tree pruning.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur during these operations. All scheduled operations are weather dependent.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
