PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict U.S. 202 (Markley Street), Route 29 (Gravel Pike) Next Week for Utility Improvements in Montgomery County

PECO to Restrict U.S. 202 (Markley Street), Route 29 (Gravel Pike) Next Week for Utility Improvements in Montgomery County

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures next week on U.S. 202 (Markley Street) in Norristown and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County for gas line installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:
  • Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Markley Street between Fornance Street and Freedley Street; and
  • Thursday, April 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Ott Road and Harrison Road. 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
