Lane Closures Scheduled on 34 Street for Bridge Inspection in Philadelphia

5/25/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Travel restrictions are scheduled on 34th Street in Philadelphia for a
bridge
inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced
today.

The work schedule is:

• Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close
on northbound 34th Street between Grays Ferry Avenue and University Avenue;
and
• Tuesday, May 30, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the right lane is scheduled to
close on southbound 34th Street between University Avenue and Grays Ferry
Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
area.
The schedule is dependent on the weather.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least
once
every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of
the
structures.
