Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
the
Philadelphia region for maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania Department
of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, May 15, and Tuesday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
intermittent
lane closures are scheduled on Route 842 (Upland Road) between Newark Road
and
Route 82 (Doe Run Road) in Marlborough Township, Chester County, for
shoulder
cutting;

• Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 19, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kumry
Road
is scheduled to close between Fennel Road and Canary Road in Milford
Township,
Bucks County, for pipe installation. During this weekday road closure,
Kumry
Road motorists will be detoured over Fennel Road and Canary Road. Local
access
will be maintained up to the construction zone;

• Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
intermittent
lane closures are scheduled on southbound Interstate 476 from just north of

U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) to Baltimore Pike in Marple, Haverford and
Radnor
townships, Delaware County, for crack sealing;

• Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between Route 841
(Coatesville Road) and Pocopson Road in West Marlborough, East Marlborough
and
Pennsbury townships, Chester County, for crack sealing. Traffic will be
controlled by flagging; and

• Wednesday, May 17, through Friday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions are scheduled on Route 162 (Embreeville Road) between
Strasburg
Road and Hannum Avenue in Newlin, West Bradford and East Bradford
townships,
Chester County, for shoulder cutting. Traffic will be controlled by
flagging.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
