Travel Restrictions Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways for
Maintenance Operations in the Philadelphia Region

Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on several state highways in
the
Philadelphia region, for maintenance operations, the Pennsylvania
Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Sunday, May 21, and Monday, May 22, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Fort
Washington
Avenue is scheduled to close between Susquehanna Road and Highland Avenue
in
Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, for base repair. During
construction,
Fort Washington Avenue motorists will be detoured over Pinetown Road,
Virginia
Drive, Susquehanna Road and Highland Avenue;
• Monday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on
U.S.
322 (Conchester Highway) between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Interstate 95
in
Concord, Bethel and Upper Chichester townships, Delaware County, for
pavement
patching;
• Monday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the right
lane
is scheduled to close on southbound Route 100 between King Street and U.S.
422
in Pottstown Borough and Upper Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, for
shoulder stabilization;
• Monday, May 22, and Tuesday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Goshen Road between Sugartown
Road
and the Delaware County line in Willistown Township, Chester County, for
base
repair;
• Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 162 (Embreeville Road)
between Hannum Avenue and Strasburg Road in Newlin, West Bradford and East
Bradford townships, Chester County, for shoulder work;
• Tuesday, May 23, through Thursday, May 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the
right
lane is scheduled to close on westbound U.S. 422 between Keim Street and
Route
100 in North Coventry Township, Chester County, for shoulder stabilization;
• Tuesday, May 23, through Friday, May 26, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Terwood

Road is scheduled to close between Valley Road and Davisville Road in Upper

Moreland Township, Montgomery County, for base repair. During construction,

Terwood Road motorists will be detoured over Route 63 (Welsh Road), Route
611
(York Road) and Davisville Road; and
• Wednesday, May 24, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 926 (Street Road) between

Westtown Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Westtown and Willistown
townships, Chester County, for base repair.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
