PECO Energy to Close Stenton Avenue Weekdays for Gas Main Installation in
Springfield Township, Montgomery County

PECO Energy is scheduled to close Stenton Avenue weekdays between Hillcrest
Avenue and Whitemarsh Avenue in Springfield Township, Montgomery County,
starting Thursday, May 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for gas main
installation,
the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The
weekday closure will be in effect through mid-July.
During construction, Stenton Avenue motorists will be detoured over
Hillcrest
Avenue, Germantown Avenue and Northwestern Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
The
work schedule is dependent on the weather.
PECO Energy will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy
Permit.
