Lane Restrictions Scheduled on Four State Highways for High-Friction
Resurfacing in Montgomery and Bucks Counties

Lane closures are scheduled on four state highways in Montgomery and Bucks
counties for high friction resurfacing operations, the Pennsylvania
Department
of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on Stenton Avenue at the Narcissa Road and
Norristown
Road Intersection in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on Morris Road between Lewis Road and Butler Pike in

Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
• Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on Whitehall Road between Bean Road and Route 73
(Skippack Pike) in Worcester Township, Montgomery County; and
• Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane
closures are scheduled on Worthington Mill Road between Twining Road and
Swamp
Road in Upper Makefield Township, Bucks County.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of a $4.8 million resurfacing project to improve travel
and
safety on 25 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and
Philadelphia counties, by installing a high-friction surface treatment to
provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.

J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on
the
project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state
funds.
