Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled on Route 32 (River Road) for
Resurfacing in Bucks County

5/19/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 32 (River
Road)
between Dark Hollow Road and Trails End Lane in Tinicum and Bridgeton
townships, on Monday, May 22, through Friday, June 16, from 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM,
for resurfacing operations as part of a $2.6 million project to repair and
resurface 12 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area
because slowdowns will occur. The work schedule is weather dependent.

The additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract

include:

• Richlandtown Road/Union Road/Main Street, between the Tohickon Creek and
Towne Court Drive in East Rockhill, Haycock and Richland townships, and
Richlandtown Borough; and
• Burnt House Hill Road between Cold Spring Creamery Road and U.S. 202 in
Buckingham Township.

Work on the project is expected to be completed in late October.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway
surface
and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Blooming Glen, Bucks County, is the
general
contractor on the $2,616,692 project, which is financed with 100 percent
state
funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
