Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing in Bucks County

Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing in Bucks County

5/5/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA

Weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Richlandtown
Road/Union Road/Main Street, between the Tohickon Creek and Towne Court
Drive
in East Rockhill, Haycock and Richland townships, and Richlandtown Borough,
on
Wednesday, May 10, through Wednesday, May 31, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for
milling and paving as part of a $2.6 million project to repair and
resurface 12
miles of state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Work on the project is expected to be completed in late October.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.
The
work schedule is dependent on the weather.

The additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract

include:

• Route 32 (River Road) between Dark Hollow Road and the Delaware Canal in
Tinicum and Bridgeton townships; and
• Burnt House Hill Road between Cold Spring Creamery Road and U.S. 202 in
Buckingham Township.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway
surface
and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal
the
roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Blooming Glen, Bucks County, is the
general
contractor on the $2,616,692 project, which is financed with 100 percent
state
funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's Transportation Plan.
