I-95, I-476, I-76 Daytime Lane Closures Scheduled for Message Sign Repair in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Daytime lane closures are planned from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Interstate 95 and Interstate 476 in Delaware County and Interstate 76 in Philadelphia for digital message sign repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:
  • Monday, August 12, the right lane is scheduled to close on northbound I-95 between Kerlin Street and Edgmont Avenue;
  • Tuesday, August 13, the left lane is scheduled to close on southbound I-476 between Chester Road and Route 320; and
  • Wednesday, August 14, the right lane is scheduled to close on westbound I-76 between Spring Garden Street and Haverford Avenue.
PennDOT advises drivers to allow additional time for travel through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. These operations are weather dependent.

The work is part of an $3,646,897 project to repair or replace Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, Pa. is the general contractor on the project which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
