U.S. 422 East Lane Closures Next Week for Concrete Patching in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove Townships

King of Prussia, PA – Lane and ramp closures will be in place next week on eastbound U.S. 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road for concrete patching operations under a project to rehabilitate pavement and repair seven structures along a five-mile section of U.S. 422 between the Royersford/Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Weather permitting, the work schedule on eastbound U.S. 422 is:
  • Monday, July 29, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM the following morning, the right lane is scheduled to close between Park Road and Evergreen Road. Lane restrictions will also be in place on ramps within the work zone limits;
  • Monday, July 29, through Thursday, August 1, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM the following morning, the left lane is scheduled to close between Airport Road and Township Line Road; and
  • Friday, August 2, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM the following morning, the ramp from eastbound U.S. 422 to the Sanatoga Interchange (Evergreen Road) is scheduled to close. During the closure, motorists will be directed to continue east on U.S. 422, exit at Lewis Road and follow signs for westbound U.S. 422 to access the Sanatoga Interchange.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on U.S. 422 through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

H & K Group Inc. of Skippack, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $17,874,021 project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to be completed in summer 2021.
