Pennsylvania America Water to Close 1st Avenue Next Week for Utility Improvement in Coatesville
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania American Water Company is planning to close 1st Avenue between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Harmony Street in the City of Coatesville, Chester County on Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 82 (Strode Avenue/Doe Run Road), Strasburg Road and Youngsburg Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
The Pennsylvania American Water Company will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
