PennDOT - District 6 News: Route 73 (Skippack Pike) Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming in Montgomery and Delaware Counties

Route 73 (Skippack Pike) Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming in Montgomery and Delaware Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and several other state highways in Montgomery and Delaware counties will be reduced to a single lane with flagging on Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Weather permitting, the work locations are:
  • Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Squirrel Hill Road and Haldeman Road in Skippack Township, Montgomery County;
  • Gypsy Hill Road between Evans Road and Brushtown Road in Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County;
  • Walton Road between Walmere Way and Deerfield Court in Whitpain Township, Montgomery County;
  • Warminster Road between Mill Road and Armour Road in Hatboro Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Barren Road between Painter Road and Ridley Creek Road in Middletown Township, Delaware County;
  • Providence Road between Bishop Hollow Road and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Edgmont Township, Delaware County; and
  • Darby Paoli Road between Newtown Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue in Radnor Township, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
