Street Road Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for High Friction Surface Treatment in Bucks and Montgomery Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties, on Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for high friction surface treatment, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work locations include:
- Street Road between Wedge Way and Honors Street in Warrington Township, Bucks County;
- Orvilla Road between Maple Avenue and Cowpath Road in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County; and
- Terwood Road between Davisville Road and Greyhorse Road in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
The work is a part of a $4.7 million project to apply high friction surface treatment to various state highways across the Philadelphia Region.
Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in March 2022.
J.D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor in the project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
