PECO to Close Route 611, Route 309 Ramps Weekdays for Gas Main Installation in Cheltenham Township
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning to close the ramp from Route 611 (Old York Road) to westbound Cheltenham Avenue (Route 309 North) and the ramp from westbound Cheltenham Avenue (Route 309 North) to northbound Old York Road (Route 611) in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County beginning Monday, November 4 for gas main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Weather permitting, the closure will be in place Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM through the end of December.
During the weekday ramp closures, motorists will be directed to use Ashbourne Road and Washington Lane to access Old York Road (Route 611) and Cheltenham Avenue (Route 309).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
