PennDOT to Repair and Resurface More Than 15 State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule and locations are:

Bucks County

• Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 232 (Second Street Pike) between County Line Road and Bristol Road in Upper Southampton Township for milling and paving; and
• Monday, October 21, through Friday, November 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) between Route 132 (Street Road) and Neshaminy Street in Middletown Township for milling and paving.

Chester County

• Monday, October 21, and Tuesday, October 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass) between the Reeceville Road and Route 113 interchanges in Caln Township and Downingtown Borough for pavement markings and rumble strips.

Montgomery County

• Sunday, October 20, through Wednesday, October 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 332 (Montgomery Avenue) between Route 262 (York Road) and County Line Road in Hatboro Borough for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Wednesday, October 23, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Main Street between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Forrest Avenue in West Norriton Township for milling operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Thursday, October 24, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Blair Mill Road between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and County Line Road in Horsham Township for paving operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Friday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Trooper Road between Shannondell Boulevard and Rogers Road in West Norriton and Lower Providence townships for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Marlborough Township;
• Sunday, October 20, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Neiffer Road between Ridge Pike and Game Farm Road and on Game Farm Road between Neiffer Road and Pheasant Road in Limerick Township for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Limerick Road between Ridge Pike and Township Line Road in Limerick Township for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, October 20, through Friday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 113 (Broad Street) between Frost Street and County Line Road in Souderton Borough for milling and paving operations;
• Monday, October 21, and Tuesday, October 22, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a road closure is scheduled on Limerick Road between Saylor Road and Cemetery Road in Limerick Township. During the closure, Limerick Road motorists will be directed to use Cemetery Road, Township Line Road and Saylor Road;
• Tuesday, October 22, through Friday, October 25, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Game Farm Road and Spring Mount Road in Fredrick Township for storm pipe installation.

Philadelphia County

• Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, the ramp from Interstate 95 North to Interstate 676 West will be closed and detoured for ramp repair. During the closure, I-95 North motorists will be directed to use the Allegheny Avenue interchange, I-95 South and I-676 West;
• Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, the ramp from Columbus Boulevard to Interstate 95 North at Locust Circle will be closed and detoured for ramp repair. During the closure, Columbus Boulevard motorists will be directed to access the northbound I-95 ramp at Summer Street or Penns Landing;
• Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Market Street between 7th Street and Route 611 (Juniper Street) for milling and paving operations; and
• Wednesday, October 23, through Friday, October 25, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, the ramp from Interstate 676 East to Interstate 95 South will be closed and detoured for ramp repair. During the closure, I-675 East motorists will be directed to use I-95 North, Allegheny Avenue interchange and I-95 South.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these improvement projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
