U.S. 422 East Lane Closure Next Week for Bridge Construction in Limerick Township, Montgomery County

King of Prussia, PA – Eastbound U.S. 422 motorists will encounter alternating left or right lane and shoulder closures between Airport Road and Township Line Road in Limerick Township, Montgomery County on Monday, November 4, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM for bridge construction under a project to improve a five-mile section of the expressway between the Royersford/Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

In addition to the lane closure on eastbound U.S. 422, several surface streets at U.S. 422 will be restricted next week for bridge construction. The work schedule is:

  • Monday, November 4, through Friday, November 8, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging will occur on Troutman Road between Ashenfelter Road and Groff Circle in Upper Providence Township;
  • Monday, November 4, through Friday, November 8, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging will occur on Upper Indian Head Road between Cider Mill Road and Winding Ridge Road in Upper Providence Township; and
  • Monday, November 4, through Saturday, November 9, right lane closures are scheduled on Evergreen Road between Lightcap Road and Rupert Road in Limerick Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
