PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM next week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

  • Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 322 (Downingtown Pike) between Skelp Level Road and Sugar Bridge Road in East Bradford Township;
  • Monday, October 21, through Thursday, October 31, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Main Street and Old Lincoln Highway in Valley Township; and
  • Tuesday, October 22, through Friday, October 25, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 796 (Jennersville Road) between Sunnyside Road and Waltman's Lane in Penn Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, October 21, through Wednesday, October 23, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between New Ardmore Avenue and Ferguson Avenue in Marple Township.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 63 (Moreland Road) between Frazier Avenue and Cleveland Avenue in Abington Township;
  • Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 63 (Moreland Road) between Frazier Avenue and Cleveland Avenue in Abington Township; and
  • Tuesday, October 22, through Tuesday, October 29, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Main Street) between 4th Street and 5th Street in East Greenville Borough.

Philadelphia County

  • Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25, a lane closure is scheduled on Stenton Avenue between Hillcrest Avenue and Ivy Hill Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. For a list of all utility work and other construction projects impacting state-owned highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, visit www.penndot.gov/district6trafficbulletin.
